Mörlialp Run
Overview
Intro
The Obwalden skiing area Mörlialp offers a superb view of Lake Sarnen. The short sledge run with bends and wooded sections is especially designed for families.
Description
In summer, the panorama road winds down from Giswil into the Entlebuch region. In winter, Mörlialp is the last stop. One particular highlight: families are especially well catered for in this small skiing area. The sledge valley run down a dedicated slope is particularly popular.
The chairlift takes sledgers up to the Bully Bar on Alpoglen at a leisurely pace. The sledge run itself covers a distance of two kilometres down to the valley station, covering an altitude difference of some 200 metres. The route has lots of bends, but there also more laid-back sections passing through magical winter forests. This descent is not steep so it is perfect for families.
The fun of the sledge ride is enhanced with a magnificent view of the Sarnen Valley and Lake Sarnen.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
