Path of the pioneers: 2-day hike in the Jura Mountains

During a 2-day hike, participants will discover how the inhabitants of the Jura Mountains have tamed nature – a little bit later than elsewhere.
Description
The rough landscape of the Jura Mountains was quite demanding on its inhabitants – resilience and pioneering spirit were necessary. The 2-day hike leads participants past remote farmhouses, hamlets and villages, a smallholding, a blacksmith lodge, the so-called “Boviducs” (paths lined by hedges and stone walls that were used to herd cattle) as well as the remains of lime kilns.
Section 1: Chasseral-Villiers/Dombresson (via Le Pâquier)
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
