Intro
From the sunny terrace of Rosswald down to the cable car valley station in Ried-Brig – first through a number of fast stretches, then on a more leisurely pace. Along the way you’ll pass through wintry conifer forests coated in snow and the Rosswald alpine pasture.
Description
A well-prepared sledge run spanning 8 kilometres leads from Rosswald down to Ried-Brig. The experience begins the moment you step out of the cable car that takes you to the starting point at Rosswald, where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the upper Rhône Valley. The sledge route covers 783 metres in altitude from start to finish and includes plenty of twists and turns, as well as a few more leisurely stretches.
The route begins directly below the Rosswald Bahnen mountain station and ends close to the Ried-Brig valley station. There’s also plenty of variety along the way for sporty types. The first phase of the route passes through a number of fast stretches, whilst the second takes on a more leisurely pace as the course broadens out.
The run leads through snow-capped conifer forests before reaching its conclusion down at the Ried-Brig valley station. The cable car valley station can also be reached by taking one of the buses that leaves regularly from Brig railway station. Ready, set, go!
