Parcours Corbetta
Overview
Intro
Take a break en route, unpack the fondue kit and enjoy a delicious fondue moitié-moitié at one of the many viewpoints on the snowshoe hike in Les Paccots.
Description
The best way to begin the Corbetta circular route is with a fondue kit in your backpack. The kit can be taken along on any route and consists of a fondue set, forks, fondue cheese, a dry-cured salami, bread and a drink (wine, beer or apple juice). This kit can be booked at the tourist office in Les Paccots up to 24 hours in advance.
The route leads through forests with romantic babbling brooks, across lowlands with a magnificent panorama of the Fribourg Pre-Alps and up to the summit of the Corbetta, where a magnificent view of the Lake Geneva Region opens up before you. Snowshoe hikers are spoiled for choice, as there are plenty of wonderful spots to stop, with breathtaking panoramic views.
Route description
Starting from the car park Les Rosalys, the forest path leads to Les Vérollys, the valley station of the ski area. Moving away from the slopes, the route is flat to begin with, then descends through the meadows to the Tornare alp before climbing up into the forest, past Chalet de la Jordana.
The route winds its way through the clearing, the La Mayetta and La Vuichouda alps and up to the summit of the Corbetta. From there you can even see Lake Geneva.
The Corbetta ridge leads to the slope of La Cierne. You continue your descent along the path to Les Joncs and the picturesque lake. The hike continues on towards Les Vérollys. After crossing the forest passage, you return to the starting point of Les Rosalys.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
