Description
Toggenburg offers a new sledging ride of the superlative: As one of the longest sledge runs in eastern Switzerland, this fast and technically challenging route offers an exciting ride through the fascinating winter landscape.
After the start under the middle station Stöfeli the track first leads over the old ski lift terrace to Alp Surenboden. In sportive curves the way winds through the romantic forest next to the Stöfeli slope. It then leads through open terrain along the skiing slopes down to Iltios, the panorama of Alpstein always in view.
The descent leads from Iltios to Espel, the valley station of the Stöfeli cable car. If you want, you can take the cable car here to experience the fast mountain track all over again. The route continues over pastures and past typical farmhouses to Unterwasser. The panoramic view over Toggenburg to the Rhine Valley is magnificent. With the sun behind you, enjoy the last bends over the snow-covered meadows to the finish in Unterwasser. The technically challenging mountain sledge run is suitable for experts.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
