The most beautiful moorland region in Switzerland
Intro
The Unesco Biosphere Entlebuch is a magical world filled with primitive natural resources.
Description
Switzerland’s largest expanse of moorland is located in central Switzerland; with the Unesco Biosphere Reserve Entlebuch made up of numerous unspoiled high and lowland moors. One of Europe’s most important and beautiful moorlands, the Salwiden highland moor, lays on the hiking path leading from Rossweid to Kemmeribodenbad - a leisurely hike leading past natural bogs and swamps. In between, mountain forests with magnificent giant trees are crossed, and the karst formations of the Schrattenfluh and rugged Brienz-Rothorn chain are in sight time and time again.
