Spiez is a real gem. The village can be found directly on Lake Thun. The bay of Spiez is considered the most beautiful in Europe. And rightly so! The picturesque bay, the deep-blue lake, the historic castle as well as the vineyards and the panorama of the mountains simply have no equal in this respect.
The most beautiful view of the bay is from the Belvédère beach hotel. The traditional hotel at the foot of the pyramid-shaped Niesen has an enchanting garden with mighty, ancient trees. The private lido and the infinity pool are perfect places to relax. Recharge your batteries in the in-house wellness area. Especially in winter.
And in winter, the hotel is the perfect destination for a combination of relaxation and exercise. A path leads through the garden directly to Lake Thun, and there the lakeside path from Spiez to Faulensee awaits. This walk is a feast for mind and body. Here the trees seem to kiss the lake. Walkers are accompanied constantly by the deep-blue lake and the view of the snowy “sugared” mountains. Sculptures and benches provide variety, but the true star is and remains nature.
After your winter walk, the modern spa area is waiting at Strandhotel Belvédère. It doesn’t get more relaxing than this! The icing on the cake is a meal from the fine hotel’s kitchen with local products and a glass of the local wine. Enjoy your meal!
