Made to be prepared
Intro
Ingo Rasp is an architectural photographer, Andreas Graber specialises in portrait photography. They practice the same profession, but work completely differently. However, they have two things in common: They are always perfectly prepared and they love Switzerland.
Ingo Rasp
Ingo Rasp is an aesthete. He has dedicated himself to photographing architecture. Spatial structures, proportions and details. This is his world.
A picture that looks like something from a different world. A picture that touches, makes you think. But how did this image come about? Very few people ask how exactly it was produced.
Andreas Graber
A change of scene. Andreas Graber is also an aesthete. However, he does not focus on buildings, but on people. His world is that of portraits. He is interested in people's stories.
A picture, like a painting. Nature and man almost merge. Who is the man in the photo? What is the story behind the picture? Few people ask themselves that either.
Ingo Rasp and Andreas Graber are constantly on the hunt for the perfect picture. They are trying to capture Switzerland. With perspective, precision and preparation.
Ingo Rasp puts a lot of time and meticulous work into the preparation in his quest to get the perfect picture. This approach is reflected in every one of his photos. It all stems from his architectural training and his expertise in spatial structures. His precision and dedication allow him to capture 3D worlds in 2D and bring the best of Switzerland to life.
For example, the Plateforme 10 in Lausanne. Ingo Rasp interprets Lausanne’s art district in his own unique way, creating a new visual language.
I want to make buildings accessible to a broad public through my pictures
For his perfect picture, Andreas Graber travelled to the Val Cristallina in Graubünden and staged the mountain guide Dario Schwörer in the great outdoors. Before the portrait comes the preparation. That's why he starts a work not with the camera, but with research: Who is my subject? Where should they be photographed? In the studio? In nature? In Geneva? In Zurich? Zermatt? Which Swiss region best reflects their personality? Switzerland Tourism serves as a guide.
At every shoot there are unknowns. This makes it all the more important to prepare the known factors as precisely as possible.
On the day of the shoot, every moment counts. That's why Andreas Graber packs his equipment with care and anticipation. In his bag there are several lenses, reflectors and tripods. The Journey 1884 watch on his wrist mirrors the essence of his photography - unique, versatile and carefully crafted to accompany every moment
Like watchmaking, architecture is an art and a science. It requires intelligence, innovative materials and precision, but also a high degree of care and craftsmanship. That's why behind every architectural masterpiece - or timepiece - there is a high level of technical excellence.
Two photographers, one goal and the watch as their constant companion as they seek out the perfect shot.
