Culture & enjoyment in the Black Forest – a day trip from Basel
Overview
Fancy some fresh pine air, Black Forest gateau and a touch of living tradition? Just a short drive from Basel lies the Black Forest – discover a region known for its authenticity, hospitality, and spectacular scenery.
Join us on a multi-stop day trip to three special highlights: Our first destination is the Ravenna Viaduct – a truly picture-postcard sight. From glassblown art to charming cuckoo clocks, you will experience the Black Forest in its most authentic form. Next, we continue to Titisee lake, where the beautiful waterfront promenade invites you to linger. Here you will have time for a relaxed lunch, a leisurely boat trip, a stroll along the lakeside promenade or a moment of peace and quiet by the water. Finally, we travel alongside the Schluchsee reservoir to the village of St Blasien, where you can explore the imposing cathedral with its neoclassical dome – a genuine architectural jewel. Enjoying a slice of original Black Forest gateau in the Dom Hotel – Restaurant & Café completes the experience. This day trip offers the perfect opportunity to experience the beauty of the Black Forest region in just one day from Basel. You’ll explore the stops independently and without a tour guide, so you can discover each place at your own pace.
