The pioneers, who built the Balfrin high trail over several summers in the 1950s, did not call the connection between Saas-Fee and Grächen the "path to silence" for nothing. Even today, there are no pubs or mountain hotels on this hike to disturb the peace. After this challenging start, the equally panoramic Europe Trail follows. The Weisshorn now majestically accompanies you on the coming hiking days. The Matterhorn comes into view in front of you and high up in the sky an eagle circles. The mountain world, through which the Swiss Tour Monte Rosa leads, is a feast for all the senses.
