Getting there

How to get to Zermatt by car: Zermatt is a car-free resort. Access for private transport is only allowed as fas as Täsch (5km from Zermatt). The road from Täsch to Zermatt is not open to public transport. There are open-air public car parks (1,800 spaces) and covered private car parks (1,300 spaces) in Täsch. The covered car parks also have outside parking spaces and operate a taxi service to and from Zermatt.
