Intro
Tannbüel by Bargen is home to one of Switzerland’s most important, as well as famous, nature reserves on the country border. Each year sees hundreds of visitors come to the region in May and June to admire the «Lady’s-slipper » (a species of orchid) in flower.
Tannbüel, an attractive nature reserve of national importance, well known as home to over twenty species of orchid, the leader of which undoubtedly the Lady’s slipper. Hundreds blossom year after year in the narrow reserve, attracting guests by the dozen. In addition to this so-called protagonist, you also discover other species such as Yellow Gentian, Helm-Orchis (also known as military orchid) and the Moosorchis that contribute to great biodiversity.
