Mahtola Wittmer (*1993 in Luzern, lebt und arbeitet in Luzern und Basel) präsentiert mit HOLD eine Ausstellung, in der sie Zustände der Beruhigung, des Flows, der Selbstregulation und der körperlichen Resonanz untersucht. Ausgehend von ihren bisherigen Recherchen zu Leistungsdruck, Optimierungszwang und gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen richtet Wittmer ihren Blick nun darauf, was dem permanenten Gefordertsein entgegenwirken kann. Für HOLD entwickelt sie in Zusammenarbeit mit Remo Helfenstein und Franziska Lauer eine sinnlich erfahrbare Raumsituation, in der malerische, zeichnerische und druckgrafische Elemente auf Textilobjekte und eine auditive Ebene treffen. Dabei versteht Wittmer Kunst nicht als Rückzug aus der Welt, sondern als Ort, an dem Sicherheit, Selbstwahrnehmung und neue Formen von Handlungsfähigkeit entstehen können.
