Ambience:
The cosy restaurant with its 60 seats and its stone fireplace in the middle of the room radiates rustic charm. The sun terrace with its 120 seats offers fantastic panoramic views onto the Alps with the Dom, the Weisshorn and the Dent Blanche. Visitors who stay overnight at the Cabane des Violettes sleep under red and white chequered bedding in simple double or multi-bedrooms.
Location:
Located at an altitude of 2,208 m beside the mountain station of the Violettes Express in the heart of the Crans-Montana ski area.
Cuisine:
Simple traditional dishes extremely skilfully prepared, such as Rösti with fried egg, cheese gratin, gnocchi, spaghetti, salad with goat’s cheese, Valaisanne plate or cheese fondue. Franck Reynaud, Michelin star chef at the Hostellerie du Pas de l’Ours down in Crans, is in charge of the Cabane des Violettes’s kitchen during the winter months. Tip: a hearty breakfast is served till 10am.
