The highlight of this route is Saillon, which was voted the most beautiful village in French-speaking Switzerland in 2013. Its historic Bayart Tower affords captivating views across a sea of vines and the Rhône Valley and the majestic Valais Alps. The tower sits atop the hill of Colline Ardente, which is officially Switzerland’s smallest vineyard and belongs to the Dalai Lama.
