An idyllic hike through a beautiful forest of arolla pines and larches. The walk takes you to Findeln, where there are breathtaking views of the Matterhorn.
Description
The hike winds through a forest of larches and arolla pines where these old and gnarled trees mark the way. Destination: the hamlet of Findeln, famous for its mountain restaurants and sunny terraces.
It is winter so the forest is a little more bare, since larches lose their needles at the beginning of the season and are then hidden under a blanket of snow. However, when the ground is not covered with its snowy blanket, the needles create a red carpet. The old arolla pines remain green and rise, impassive, in the invigorating winter air.
Those who wish to take a break during the hike might see squirrels or even roe deer. On arrival in Findeln, a breathtaking view opens out onto the Matterhorn.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
