Senda d'unviern Triel
Overview
Intro
Wander through the snowy landscape of the Val Lumnezia on well-groomed winter hiking trails: with the Piz Terri always in view, the route runs past the Davos Munts bathing lake and up to the Triel lookout point. On the way back, hikers pass over pretty, snow-covered mountain pastures.
Description
The winter hike begins at Sumsiaras and follows a gentle upward slope to the edge of the village in Bual. With the pyramid-shaped Piz Terri always in sight and no significant incline, it continues into the valley towards Davos Munts.
At the idyllic, snowy Davos Munts bathing lake, the long but gently sloping ascent to Triel begins. The middle station of the Obersaxen Mundaun Lumnezia mountain railways is located at one of the Val Lumnezia’s most beautiful lookout points, with a panoramic view stretching from the Signina mountain chain to the Piz Regina and the Piz Terri. From Triel, hikers have the option to take the chairlift back to Vella.
The route continues across snowy mountain pastures down to Morissen. After passing through the mountain village, it returns to Vella, whose centre is characterised by stolid stone houses.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
