The program combines three very different, yet structurally closely related works of the Romantic period, which show how large-scale symphonic forms emerge from motivic condensation and precise thematic work.
The Zurich Chamber Philharmonic under the direction of Dominic Limburg will also perform Schumann's Overture, Scherzo and Finale as well as the Festive Overture by Stüssi. The orchestra's young, outstanding professional musicians will not only impress with their excellent playing quality, but also with their energetic and committed music-making.
