Along and above the beautiful Lake Thun, the winter hiking trail from Schwanden offers a wonderful view of the mountains in the Bernese Oberland. Silent fir forest and wide meadows dominate the landscape. The panorama is magnificent: in its center are the Niesen and the Schilthorn. This combined with a traditional fondue (raclette in bad weather at Landgasthof Rothorn) rounds off the hiking day perfectly.
On these tours we will look at the correct walking technique, observe the animals and identify their tracks, discuss how to behave properly in nature in winter and do an exercise together so that you get to know the snow layers better. After the hike you will also receive a brochure "Winter Animal Friendly in Nature".
Difficulty: SAC WT1 - WT2 (flat/low gradient <25 degrees) / effort: somewhat strenuous
Route 8 km / marching time approx. 4 h / ascent 480 hm / descent 480 hm
Duration of the whole event: approx. 6 h incl. fondue / raclette
In a small group ( min 5, max 8 persons) we hike together through the snow.
