Suspended House
A box-like house stands at a lofty height as if on stilts or legs. Unlike you would expect from a house, the construct by Louise Bourgeois does not convey security but a feeling of instability and a certain narrowness due to the slim portrait format. Vivid images for partly traumatic childhood experiences characterise the varied works by the French artist.
