Inleiding
With over 20 public art projects, Parcours 2026 provides artistic impetus on the topic of living together.
Parcours 2026 is the public art sector of Art Basel. The edition is being curated for the third time by Stefanie Hessler, Director of the Swiss Institute in New York City. The Parcours unfolds along Clarastrasse, connects the exhibition grounds with the Rhine and includes an installation on the opposite side of the river near Bankverein. Under the guiding principle of "conviviality", Parcours 2026 presents over 20 mostly new and site-specific projects that explore how we live together. Thematically, the works deal with rituals, myths, belief systems, ecological contexts, public space, movement, diasporic memory, political forms of resistance, work, digital realities and technological co-authorship, among other things.
