During the St Martin’s Fair in Payerne people explore the city while tasting, search for antiquities and immerse in a celebration with authentic and regional accents.
Located in the heart of the city of Payerne, more than 150 stands present food and various products from here and elsewhere. Enticing smells and flamboyant colours satisfy onlookers and tourists passing through. An exhibition of agricultural machinery and the presence of farm animals on the Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville make the eyes of young and old alike sparkle.For the most gourmand, most of the city's restaurants offer tripe, a traditional dish that is now associated with the event.
