TicinoBands Live Contest 2026
Overzicht
Inleiding
The 7th edition of the TicinoBands Live Contest, which has been a great success since its first edition, will take place on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September.
The TicinoBands association is pleased to renew its competition dedicated to emerging bands from our canton.
Registration is open to all bands with unreleased songs, cover bands, and tribute bands. Each group will have 20 minutes to perform: a single performance must be enough to convince the judges. In addition to their set list, upon confirmation of admission, each band will be assigned a cover song from a list (which will soon be published on the website) to perform as faithfully as possible. This new feature will highlight the versatility of the participants. Performances will be judged by a jury of music and entertainment professionals and by direct voting from the audience, based on the following breakdown: execution and technique (25%), stage presence (25%), originality (20%), audience vote (20%), and home voting (10%).
To be eligible for the competition, you must submit a video of a song performed in a rehearsal room or live, with high-quality live audio (including phone recordings). The material will be used by the technical committee to select the bands. The prizes up for grabs are: CHF 1,000 for 1st place, CHF 800 for 2nd place, CHF 500 for 3rd place, and three awards of CHF 200 each for musicians who excel with their instrument.
Registration is limited to 12 bands, and registration will be open through the TicinoBands.com portal starting July 17, 2026.
