Inleiding
The Nordic sports centre is in Im Fang, alongside the cantonal road between Charmey and Jaun. The place is surrounded by the peaks of the Vanil d’Arpille or the Hochmatt and is well known for its early, long-lasting snow cover.
Beschrijving
The gently sloping route runs from Bourlianda along the left bank of the Jogne. Surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Vanil d’Arpille or the Hochmatt, Im Fang stands at the mid-way point.
The route continues with a gentle climb into Jaun, along the wooded and, in the winter, relatively shady banks of the wild Jaunbach. As you reach the various clearings, you will see the steep slopes of the Combiflue, with its avalanche shelters, and the first few chalets in the village of Jaun.
Several circular cross-country skiing routes are available for the less athletic. Numerous parking areas are available in Charmey, Im Fang and Jaun. You will find plenty of places to eat and drink directly on the trails, in Jaun, Charmey and Im Fang.
De sleutel voor een prettige wandeltocht is onder andere een zorgvuldige planning. Win op voorhand inlichtingen in bij de plaatselijke informatiedienst over de toestand van het traject en de weersomstandigheden. Afhankelijk van het seizoen en de weersomstandigheden kan de route gesloten of onderbroken zijn.
