Fondue Evening with National Council Member David Roth
On Wednesday, November 18, 2026, David Roth, a National Council member from Lucerne and vice president of the Swiss Socialist Party (SP), will visit the SP Mutschellen-Kelleramt chapter. The SP Mutschellen-Kelleramt cordially invites all interested individuals to a special political evening featuring an aperitif, a cozy get-together, fondue, and a discussion with David Roth.
David Roth is one of the leading voices of Lucerne’s Social Democratic movement. He has represented the canton of Lucerne in the National Council since 2023. As a longtime trade unionist and Central Secretary of syndicom, he focuses particularly on issues such as wages, working conditions, purchasing power, and social security. Affordable housing and equitable distribution are also among his key political priorities. In his work in the National Council, he advocates, among other things, for a strong public service sector and a socially responsible approach to economic and social change.
The question of what people actually have left to live on at the end of the month is a major concern for many. Rising rents, health insurance premiums, and other living expenses are putting pressure on purchasing power. At the same time, digitalization and new forms of work are transforming the world of work. David Roth brings not only his perspective from the Federal Parliament but also his many years of experience in union work.
The event is open to anyone who would like to meet David Roth in person, hear his views on current political challenges, and engage in conversation with him. What is the state of purchasing power? What is needed to ensure fair wages and good working conditions? And how can policymakers ensure that life remains affordable?
In addition to political discussion, the fondue evening will also provide an opportunity for a cozy get-together. The fondue evening with David Roth will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m. Further information and registration details can be found on the section’s website (www.sp-mutschellen-kelleramt.ch).
The SP Mutschellen-Kelleramt looks forward to a stimulating evening, engaging conversations, and many interested guests.
