In the Shadow of Things
This is the story of a couple of artists raising their children amid noise, music, and laughter. This is the story of a family that had everything, only to end up with almost nothing. It is the story of two brothers in a foster home, united by a deep love but forced to part ways to fulfill their destinies. It is the story of a young boy searching for his place in the world, while his brother seems to have found his: music. It’s a one-man show, a live experience, adapted from the novel of the same name, published by Calmann-Lévy and winner of the Envoyé par la Poste Prize. The novel comes to life, with the narrator right there, facing us.
