Overzicht
Inleiding
Cross-country skiing on the Bernese Oberland’s natural sun terrace. Fresh mountain air at 1300 metres, mostly above the fog line and with views of the famous Bernese peak trio make this a highly therapeutic activity. Enjoy a winter wonderland around the mountain village of Beatenberg.
Beschrijving
The Waldegg–Rischeren–Bodenalp trail is relatively level and therefore ideal for beginners. The start of the trail is just a few minutes’ walk from the Waldegg car park. Cross-country skiing through snow-covered forests and with views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau peaks is an all-round relaxing experience.
The Waldegg-Bodenalp cross-country skiing trail is combined with a winter hiking trail, so you may also encounter snowshoe trekkers and winter hikers along the route. A dog-drawn sleigh might even pass by. The trail runs parallel to the village through the three hamlets of Waldegg, Spirenwald and Schmocken in a continuous, easy ascent. Return rejuvenated to your starting point at Waldegg along the same route.
De sleutel voor een prettige wandeltocht is onder andere een zorgvuldige planning. Win op voorhand inlichtingen in bij de plaatselijke informatiedienst over de toestand van het traject en de weersomstandigheden. Afhankelijk van het seizoen en de weersomstandigheden kan de route gesloten of onderbroken zijn.
