A moving mountain

Introdução
The exciting history of the schist landslides on the Heinzenberg, which were still devastating valuable pastures until 100 years ago.
Extensive measures had to be taken to halt the landslides and the massive destruction they caused. Experience the stories behind the traces that are still visible today on an adventure trail through the former landslide zone.
Many questions are answered: why, for instance, did the schist landslides on the Heinzenberg cause catastrophic floods along the Rhine as far as Lake Constance? And why are only the old shoreline and the drainage tunnel (built in 1907) left to remind us of the former Lüschersee lake, where a jetty now stands in the middle of the Alpine meadow?
Then visit 'Willi of the Glas Pass' – a genuine local from Glas hamlet – whose life largely revolves around the former landslide area.
