Changing exhibitions present aspects of the works of the painters Carl August Liner (1871-1946)and Carl Walter Liner (1914-1997) as well as 20th century and contemporary art.

The museum was designed by the noted architects Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer, Zürich.

Location:
The museum is situated in the southeast of Appenzell village, towards "Aula Gringel".
