Anbetung II
This painting translates the artist's desire to rediscover in Nature the harmony lost between Man and the Creation. The artist's son Hector, portrayed here at the age of six, is not playing; rather, he is kneeling, his hands pressed together, and praying, as if he were celebrating the arrival of Spring. Titled Adoration, the work emphasizes the regenerating energy of the Spring season, a metaphor for the rebirth of man and his desire for spiritual elevation.
