KUNST BRAUCHT KOHLE (Chantal Romani and Jana Vanecek) was involved in the Helmhaus exhibitionThe Poverty Business – Art Is a Class Act!in early 2025, during which they hosted three round-table discussions on the subject of class and class prejudice. The collective is now organising a hybrid sequel of those events to be offered regularly both at the Helmhaus and online. The format was conceived to be not just a talking shop but also a laboratory for social change. We have deliberately created a space that centres situational knowledge and lived experience – especially the perspectives of those impacted by structural inequality.
