The peaceful setting amid magnificent mountain scenery, far removed from any mass tourism, is the defining feature of this small, personally run mountain hotel. The rooms (ranging in size from one to five beds) feature plenty of wood and atmospheric charm, to create a cosy, nostalgic feel; approx. 35 beds in total. Guests can expect exclusive Grisons specialities, gourmet Alpine cuisine, home-made bread and ice cream, exquisite wines and a warm welcome. The 300-year-old timber Walser house has three dining rooms and a superb sun terrace. The Heimeli – ideal for days out, simple enjoyment, corporate events, family celebrations, breaks from hiking, experiences in nature, and winter hikes. Easy hiking trail from Langwies, Arosa or a somewhat more demanding option from Davos in summer. In winter, there is a tobogganing run right from the hotel itself, opportunities for ski touring, and, if so desired, pick-up from the valley on the hotel’s own snowmobile.

The 300-year-old inn (1,800 metres above sea level) was originally a simple farmhouse. Today, it enchants guests as an atmospheric, secluded Alpine hotel. The scent of wood permeates the air in the cosy rooms, which were renovated as recently as 2019. In the dining rooms, homemade Grisons specialities are served with creative refinement. The Heimeli is particularly well-known for its gourmet Alpine cuisine and its special ambience.
