Marie Forestier runs the cosy 3-star superior hotel, which dates from 1864 and is located on the shores of Lake Geneva. The hotel’s private garden has direct access to the lake.

Manager Bettina Doninelli fulfilled a lifelong dream when she acquired and restored the La Tureta. 

22 Summits Boutique Hotel ****

The 4-star hotel in Zermatt has an alpine-chic design that cleverly combines natural and modern elements and draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape. Although there are over 22 peaks in the Valais Alps, siblings Carolina and Rahel Julen, who run the hotel, have chosen 22 stories about Zermatt and the surrounding mountains to associate with each room.

The boutique Hotel Schlüssel cultivates an atmosphere all its own with twelve romantic rooms, a sensuous colour scheme and charming details such as free-standing bathtubs. The restaurant makes an inviting venue – whether for a delicious meal, a wild party or a creative seminar – and can accommodate up to 100 guests (10 in the Hunter's Room, 20 in the Dining Room and 50 in the Ballroom). Yet the gardens, the cellars and the Gourmet Shop are also warmly recommended. And the hospitality here has won prizes.
