Down below is the Illiez Valley, beautifully situated near the small mountain lakes, below the rock walls of Haute Cime, with a view extending to Portes du Soleil.
The access is lengthy: from the Champéry Railway Station in the valley it takes 3 1/2 hours and 1,000 altitude meters, or on the Tour des Dents du Midi (a circular hiking tour of several days) from Les Cerniers / Chindonne, or from Salanfe via the Col de Susanfe, Pas d'Encel (rocky trail).
