After a 2-hour to 3 1/2-hour hike through the forest to the ridge you will find the hut on a clearing at 1,463 meters.
It is located on the very sunny Mognone Alp, offering a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore and Lake Lugano. The hut has 12 beds and is open all year. There is no warden. Besides cooking facilities, the wood-burning stove and the fireplace create a cozy ambience.
