At the rim of the Great Aletsch Glacier, near the legendary Märjelensee, a lake that was formed at the rim of the glacier.
It can be reached on well-marked hiking trails from Riederalp / Bettmeralp, Kühboden / Fiescheralp (Pedestrian tunnel) or from the Fiescher Valley. The hiking loop starts at Bettmerhorn; or descend from the Eggishorn. Enjoy the guided glacier tour starting from the Jungfraujoch. In summer there is accommodation in a mattress camp. Blankets are provided.
