A former convent located right by the River Aare with a view of the Jura and Solothurn old town. The hotel was opened in 2005 with 16 comfortable rooms, conceptualised with a design-oriented clientele in mind. The Aaregarten Restaurant combines traditional cuisine with modern influences and rediscovered dishes from culinary Switzerland.

Located in the former nurses' house of the Old Hospital, the hotel on the Aare combines a stylish, modern infrastructure with historic buildings from the 18th century. In addition, a wide range of options are available in the banquet and seminar area. Comfortable rooms with views of the Aare, the Jura and Solothurn's Old Town invite you to linger. The topic of "sustainability" is close to the hotel's heart. The following is contributed: Sensitization/regular training of employees on the topic of sustainability. Whenever possible, regional and partly organic products are used for breakfast. Environmentally friendly cleaning products are used for cleaning throughout the hotel. The bed linen and towels in the rooms will only be changed on request or after 3 nights at the latest. As far as possible, 100% recycled printer paper is used and a lot of data is only stored electronically. The lamps have been replaced by LED (where possible).

The magnificent 18th-century building right by the River Aare skilfully combines baroque charm with a modern ambience. There are 16 individually conceived rooms, each with a sophisticated bathroom unit and trendy designer furniture. All enjoy a magnificent view of the river. Atmospheric colour scheme in the midst of historic walls: sunshine yellow, ochre and olive green create a feeling of lightness. A delicious breakfast featuring local produce, some of it organic. In the warmer months, you can enjoy the secluded garden restaurant. Bouldering facility on the top floor.

Arrival The hotel on the Aare can be reached on foot in 10 minutes from Solothurn main station via Hauptbahnhofstrasse/ Unterer Winkel. From the A5 Solothurn-West motorway junction in the direction of "Solothurn Vorstadt" via Bürenstrasse/ Krummturmstrasse (see signs).
