Located at 2,262 meters, high up in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, at the foot of the north-west ridge of the Grosshorn, in the midst of the UNESCO World Heritage Region "Swiss Alps Jungfrau–Aletsch".
The ascent to the hut takes 3 hours 30 minutes from Stechelberg via Schwand, or 5 hours via Oberhorn Lake. The small, cozy wooden hut has 12 beds. It has not warden throughout the year. Cooking your own meal on a wood stove rounds out the Alpine adventure.
