Located at 2,032 meters at the foot of Gross Windgällen, the hut can be reached on a well-constructed mountain trail in two and a half hours from the mountain station of the Golzern cable car in Canton Uri's Maderaner Valley.
The house was extended in the year 2000/01 and today also offers multiple-bed rooms of various sizes. You will enjoy the unobstructed view toward the south up to the Oberalpstock. Mobile phone reception only in the immediate neighborhood...but there is a year-round webcam.
