Adelboden is high on the list for families and all those who want to spend some quiet time away from the big mountain arenas. The feeling of normality and serenity is what attracts holidaymakers. This feeling can also be found in some of the mountain huts which are nothing else than refurbished sheds, such as the pleasant Chumihütte.

Description
Ambience:
Apart from a sun terrace with long wooden tables, the Chumihütte has also a dozen double sun loungers with woollen blankets – one of the reasons why it is liked by so many skiers; and because it is so quiet here.
Location:
At an altitude of 1,800 metres, halfway up the slope from Luegli to Geils (piste 42). Accessible also on skis from Metschstand via piste 44 to the signpost for the Chumihütte.
Cuisine:
Cheese and dried meat platters, cheese on toast, Alpine macaroni with apple puree, vegetable soup, steak with baked potatoes and herb dip. The meat partly comes from the restaurant’s own Scottish Highland Cattle.
