Solothurn’s Jesuit Church may stand in the shadow of the magnificent cathedral of St. Ursen, but it is also well worth a visit – and about a hundred years older.
The impressive north façade is adorned with an enchanting statue of the Virgin Mary in Solothurn limestone, while the interior boasts extravagant stuccowork. Another highlight is the high altar of 1704, with monumental columns framing a fine painting of the Assumption.
