The e-bike tour begins in Evolène. You’ll be able to make it up to Alp Chemeuille without any great effort, before riding down single trails through the golden forest to the magical mountain lake, Lac d’Arbey. Take the highest funicular railway in the world straight to the glacier

Public transport with a difference: the world’s highest underground train has been taking passengers up to the Mittelallalin (3,500 metres above sea level) for the past 30 years.​ Up here, you can also find one of the largest ice grottos in the world: the Ice Pavilion is well worth a visit. Delicious meals and a vast mountain panorama including 4,000m peaks await in the Allalin revolving restaurant.

Vineyards, wine and a spectacular gorge

From the winegrowing village of Ligerz, the small Vinifuni funicular takes visitors up through vibrant golden vineyards to Prêles. This is the starting point of a stunning hike through the Twannbach Gorge. The route takes around one hour, running between high rock faces and past dark green peat bogs, deciduous trees bursting with autumn colour and waterfalls on the way down to Twann – and the shores of Lake Biel.
