What do the cows do in winter and where are they in summer? What work is there to do on the farm? The Speck-Schlauri family provides information right in the middle of the action. During a visit to the farm, you will learn lots of interesting facts about the animals on the farm and the various activities of an Appenzell farmer.
Of course, you will also gain an insight into the production of the various products that they sell in certain Landi branches. They produce pork rinds, Museggbröckli, smoked bacon and spreads themselves in their own production and packaging room and smoke some of them in the smoker. The farm's own milk is used to make Appenzeller cream cheese of various sizes, which is then marinated in a range of herbal marinades. Quality is a top priority in production and the products are made from regional ingredients wherever possible.
The farm is about 15 minutes' walk from Weissbad railroad station. We therefore recommend a hike, a trip by car or transportation by PubliCar. We will be happy to help you with your reservation.
