A musical treat of a special kind is offered by the Toggenburg Sound Trail. The panorama trail starts on Alp Sellamatt and combines amazing things with the most beautiful landscape. An exciting route for curious nature lovers.
The Sound Trail is the flagship of the Klangwelt Toggenburg and has been a great success story for a long time, known far beyond the borders of Switzerland. Families, nature lovers, music and culture enthusiasts from all over Switzerland and neighbouring countries visit the unique theme trail at the foot of the Churfirsten every year. The theme trail extends over several stages from Alp Sellamatt via Iltios to Oberdorf and is accessible from Wildhaus and Alt St. Johann can be easily reached by cable car. The perfect family experience with around 30 sound sculptures and installations is rounded off by barbecue areas, mountain restaurants, playgrounds and the incomparably authentic mountain idyll of Toggenburg. In 2024, the Klangweg was renewed by Klangwelt Toggenburg. The most beautiful and important works of the existing path were carefully restored and presented in a new classical edition. There are also thirteen new sound works of art to discover. Whether you hike from Alp Sellamatt in the direction of Oberdorf or vice versa – both are possible and make the sound trail exciting in many ways!
