Miglieglia – Rivera e-mountain bike tour

This route is one of the five stages of the Lugano e-mountain bike tour, which starts at Ponte Tresa and ends in Morcote. The Lugano e-mountain bike tour is full of variety, leading through sweet chestnut forests, over hills and past pastures, lakes and rivers.
Description
The Lugano e-mountain bike tour is not too strenuous, but offers plenty of fun and variety. Recharge your batteries with views of typical Ticino beauties, a Mediterranean climate and warming rays of sunshine. Speaking of charging: There are e-mountain bike charging stations at frequent intervals along the whole route. The route is not signposted, so it is advisable to print out the map and/or download the useful GPX data. The SwitzerlandMobility App also helps to show your current location, when GPS is activated.
Stage 2 begins in Miglieglia and leads to the hammer mill of Malcantone, before continuing on through forests and fields to the Caroggio plains. It is worth making a short stop at Fescoggia and Breno, where one of the landmarks of Ticino is located: a wonderful sweet chestnut forest. There is also an exciting bike route here, which focuses on the sweet chestnut and its importance for people. Continue on the Arosio-Cademario route via Alpe Agra, which consists of asphalt and dirt roads. On single trails and gravel paths, the route descends to Caslano and Agno, before following the Vedeggio river to Rivera. It is worth taking the Monte Tamaro cable car to Alpe Foppa and enjoying the view from there, while your bike charges at the charging station. The Splash & Spa adventure pool is located at the Monte Tamaro valley station – you should not miss the opportunity for a visit. Your tired legs will thank you for it.
