Attended huts

The dramatic climb begins at the floor of the wild, unspoilt Ferret valley. Three-and-a-half bracing hours later, you arrive at the Cabane de l’A Neuve, a hut spectacularly located on a rocky spur among snow-capped peaks.

The hut is named after Albert Heim, the Alpine explorer, geologist and glaciologist. He became an honorary member of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC).

Sitting on the high plateau of the Sulsalp, above Isenfluh / Sulwald in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the charming log cabin offers a sweeping view of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

In 1920 the idea is born to build an SAC Hut at the remotest corner of the Turtmann Valley.
