No matter what the season, your body, mind and soul can look forward to a change of scene. Arrive and feel at ease at 1400 m above sea level: Marvel at the magnificent mountain scenery and the five hotels lying side by side with 40 rooms, ranging from simple to luxurious, which fulfil every wish. In every season this place opens new horizons for body, mind and soul. The journey along the mystical Tschingelsee and over the steepest PostBus route in Europe with a gradient of 28% is already spectacular in summer. In winter you can drive your private car to the car park Tschingel (only possible with four-wheel drive or snow chains), then we will pick you up there by appointment with a suitable vehicle in the period from 12 am – 6 pm.

Typically Swiss Hotel

The steepest postbus route in all of Europe leads to the hotel at the foot of the Blüemlisalp at an altitude of 1400 meters. In winter, it can only be accessed with the hotel’s own snowmobiles. In the five chalets with a centennial history, guests find a haven of peace and rest. Three restaurants serve typical Swiss dishes made with homegrown produce, the meat comes from the hotel’s own farm. Wide selection of interesting wines from the canton of Bern.

A6 Berne to Spiez, direction Kandersteg, Kiental Reichenbach village direction, Signs "Griesalp" until Tschingel. From Tschingel steep mountain road to the Griesalp hotels. (Journey takes about ½ hour from Spiez) From Reichenbach I. K. Station by postal car via the steepest PostBus route Europe directly to the Griesalp Hotels (mid-May to mid-October). (Approximate driving time of ¾ Hour, extra trips possible) Winter With car to Tschingel by (Note only with all-wheel drive or snow chains) and pick-up our snowmobiles (CHF 10.- per person each way, luggage transport for free). with public transport to Reichenbach, then taxi to Tschingel (special rates when booking through the hotel) and then pick up with our snowmobiles.
