This splendid establishment celebrates its 125-year anniversary in 2017 and has undergone stylish and high-quality renovations over the years. Located on a hill over Locarno 5 min. walk to the old town, the Hotel Belvedere Locarno is connected to both the Church of the Madonna del Sasso and the lakeside via funicular. Simple elegance, delicious cuisine, courteous and friendly staff, 90 modern rooms with breathtaking views of the mountains and lake abound throughout our historic building.
With a view of the Locarnese Mountains and the Madonna del Sasso pilgrimage church, the new Oasi Belvedere, Spa, Wellness & Beauty facility extends over two floors, one of which is dedicated to adults only with herbal sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath, frigidarium and a Kneipp path. Peace and calmness after the wellness programme is guaranteed in the two relaxation rooms. Additionally, the facility has four massage and beauty treatment rooms, with one specifically designed for shared experiences, perfect for couples, families, or friends looking to enjoy their treatments together. The ground floor, available to all guests, is equipped with a whirlpool and a swimming pool with indoor and outdoor area. All of this is connected to our lush garden with sun terraces, playground and the summer restaurant ‘Grotto al Sasso’.
Relax at our garden with an assortment of outdoor games from the petanque and the badminton to the table tennis and garden chess or just bask in the sun and read a good book in one of our deck chairs.
The congress center offers 5 rooms for up to 180 people; all the meeting rooms have natural light, air conditioning and are equipped with modern technology.

Seminar Hotel
At a privileged location above Locarno and surrounded by a Mediterranean park. In addition to five highly modern, air-conditioned seminar rooms for up to 180 people, the hotel's own grotto, the atmospheric vault “Affresco” with fireplace and ceiling frescoes, terrace in the garden and the hotel's “Hall” are available for MICE purposes. Four excellent in-house restaurants provide culinary diversity. Locarno, Lake Maggiore or the mountains are easy to reach and perfect for team activities.
