Pas de Maimbré – sweeping views
Intro
Ayent-Anzère is famous for its historic water channels (Bisses) - but between the Wildhorn and Rhone Valley many attractive highland hikes beyond the forest border await you too.
It’s said to be over 1000 mountain summits you can expect to see from the Pas de Maimbré mountain station, with fifteen 4000-meter-high (and more) giants amongst them. But views over the Rhone Valley are equally as impressive, with a glimpse of upper Valais as far as Brig to the east and Martigny on turning your gaze south-west.
Well recommended is a mountain hike via Selle to Cabanne des Audannes (2 hours 30 min) and via Alp Serin back to Anzère, or over the highland path to Les Rousses and the lake of Tseuzier (Rawil reservoir).
