Intro

Freerider dreams come true in Zermatt! Carve out tracks in fine powdery snow on 36 kilometres of secured but not prepared pistes. The trails are marked in yellow and can be found on the Rothorn, the Stockhorn and along Lake Schwarzsee.

Freeriding in Zermatt is all about gliding down pristine slopes, cutting turns through fine powdery snow and heading off-piste for a few glorious moments away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts. And all this safe in the knowledge that the marked routes are secured. Of course, the usual rules apply: Always ensure you have suitable equipment with you, and ideally enlist the services of an expert guide. Your adventures will be set against the constant backdrop of the Matterhorn, which seems to cast a protective eye over freeriders from afar.
